The Delhi University has rolled-out the promotion criteria for semester students of Undergraduate and Post-Graduate courses in all streams including Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) and School of Open Learning (SOL) as one time measures for the current academic session 2020-21 in view of Covid-19 pandemic. Releasing the notice Delhi University allows students to carry-forward the subject in which they failed/ couldn't appear, as one time measure due to Covid-19 pacademic.
"In light of the guidelines on Examination and Academic calendar for the Universities in view of COVID-19 Pandemic and subsequent guidelines issued by UGC, on 29 April 2020 and notifications issued by Examination branch, it is notified for information to all concerned the following promotion criteria shall be adopted for the Semester students of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses registered with regular collleges/ departments, NCWEB, and SOL as one time measure fore current academic session 2020-21 in view of pandemic", Delhi University's official notice reads.
According to the promotion criteria, the students shall be allowed to carry forward the subjects in which he / she has failed in semester/ year and shall be promoted to the next year. However such students may clear the examination for the course in which he/ she has failed / remained absent, when the examination are held next year as the cycle of semester and span period", notice adds.
The promotion criteria shall be applicable for-
1) The students of 2nd Semester (Part 1) or 4th Semester (Part 2) Examination of UG and PG Courses.
2) The students of 2nd Year UG Courses under Annual mode and 2nd Semester (1st Yea) PG Courses registered with the SOL and NCWEB.
3) The students of 1st Year UG courses under CBCS system of SOL.
Note- It should be noted that the above promotion criteria is applicable only for the current Academic session (2020-21) in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. The list of failed students shall be sent separately through e-mail to the respective Faculty/ Department/ Centre/ College of NCWEB and SOL.
