The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) which was scheduled to be held on 5th July 2020 has been postponed. CBSE board on Thursday issued the Central Teacher Eligibility Test postpone notice at official website and at MHRD handle. Following the report Education Minister tweeted in Thursday evening about postpone of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) CTET July 2020 Examination amidst the worsening pandemic condition in the country. A fresh date for the CTET examination will be released later after situation becomes more conducive for exam, stated in notice published at the official website ctet.nic.in.
According to the CTET postpone notice "the next date of examination will be intimated when the situation is more conducive for the conduct of examinations. All the candidates registered for CTET July 2020 are hereby informed that for any update they may visit the CTET website www.ctet.nic.in regularly." Dr. RP Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, the Education Minister, tweeted earlier today. The decision comes on the same day when CBSE board in Supreme Court also decided to cancel the remaining CBSE Board Examinations for Class 10th & 12th.
A majority of entrance and recruitment tests have been postponed owing to the difficult times. Major exams like SSC have been rescheduled and are likely to begin from 1st August. The 14th edition of the Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (CTET) stands postponed until further notice as of now.

CBSE had released previous year question papers for CTET exams last week. CTET’s online registration and payment of fees portal commenced earlier this year in January and remained open till February 2020. The CBSE Board earlier on Thursday also decided to cancel the remaining exams for class 10th and 12th in Supreme Court. CBSE and ICSE remaining Board exams are stand cancelled, however for Class 12th CBSE may release new exam dates, Soliciter General replied a petition filed in Supreme Court over cancellation of CBSE remaining exams in view of Corona Virus.

The Examinations were earlier scheduled to be held from July 1 onwards were also called off. The students will be graded based on average past performance. However, if not satisfied, they’d be provided with the option to appear in the Examination.
