Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday released an official notice for the CTET 2020 new exam date. Now, CBSE will conduct Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 31 January 2021 (Sunday), in 135 exam cities. Releasing the new exam date as 31 January 2021, Central Board facilitates another chance to candidates for correction in their option of exam city. A list of identified examination-cities is provided at the website www.ctet.nic.in.
CBSE releases the CTET January 31, 2020 exam notice at website and also at its social-media handle. Candidates who have applied/ registered for the July 5, 2020 CTET exam can make corrections in choice for the exam city from 7 Nov 2020 to 16 Nov 2020.

Earlier, the 14th edition of the CTET exam which was scheduled to be held on 05.07.2020 (Sunday) in 112 cities postponed on June 26, 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Board in accordance to the Ministry of Home Affairs, decided to postpone the CTET July 5, 2020 examination to a new date, would be decided after situation becomes more conducive for conduct of the CTET exam, official notice reads.

Following the revision, the Central Board of Secondary Education on November 4, 2020 (Wednesday) decided to conduct CTET July 2020 exam on 31st of January 2021 (Sunday) in two shifts. Board adds new exam cities including Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Begusarai, Gopalganj, Purnea, Rohtas, Saharsa, Sarn, Durg, Bilaspur, Hazaribagh, Jamshedhpur, Ludhiana, Bijnor, Ambedkar Nagar, Bulandshahar, Deoria, Gonda, Mainpuri, Pratapganj, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, and Udham Singh Nagar.

Correction in Exam City:
CBSE gives another chance to candidates for correction in their option of exam city. Keeping in view the difficulty faced by candidates due to Covid-19 and Lockdown, the Central Board has decided to give one more chance to the candidates for correction in their exam city from which they want to appear in CBSE CTET January 31, 2020 exam, official notice reads. Candidates can make corrections from 07 November to 16 November 2020, at ctet.nic.in.
"Every effort will be made to accommodate the candidates in the cities opted by them but if the situation arises, they can be allotted any city other than the four cities opted by the candidates. All the registered candidates may also visit CTET website www.ctet.nic.in for further details", if any, notice adds.
