CBSE Class 12 board exam has been scrapped for this year. The decision is taken after a high-level meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi this evening. The meeting was attended by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other Union Ministers including Smriti Irani and Prakash Javadekar, in the absence of Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.
After the meeting, it is also decided that Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will take steps to compile the CBSE Class 12th results for year 2020-21 as per a well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner.

"In view of uncertain conditions due to COVID & feedback obtained from stakeholders, it has been decided that Class 12 Board Exams would not be held this year. CBSE to take steps to compile results of Class 12 students as per well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner", News agency ANI reported.
