Coronavirus Cases in India As per the recent data Coronavirus positive cases in Delhi and Maharashtra are on top of the State-wise list. Delhi has registered 523 cases, most in any state/ UT following by Maharashtra where number is about to touch 500 marks in state wise list. Being two most populous cities in country Covid19 cases in Delhi and Maharashtra have come out at large pace in recent days & Tablighi Jamaat has been a factor, report said. Till Sunday Delhi has the highest number of cases 503 till April 5, followed by Maharashtra (490), and Tamil Nadu (485) tagged among top 3 major affected states under Covid19 in India.

After reveal of Nizamuddin Markaz incidence where gatherings of Tablighi Jamaat people took place, there seems a tide has erupted in several parts of country and number of COVID19 positive cases started surging with more pace.

Carrying multiple Coronavirus hotspots Delhi and Maharashtra are on top of the state-wise Covid19 cases list. In recent data both the cities Delhi and Maharashtra have reported 500 cases and on top two positions in state wise list. After Nizamuddin Markaz gathering and people of Tablighi Jamaat started found positive in several states, Delhi's Nizamuddin location turned a hotspot. Cases in Delhi increased with high pace in last week.

At several quarantine facilities thousands of Tablighi Jamaat people shifted and traced down around 9000 Tablighi Jamaat people across India. According to MOHFW briefing Delhi's Nizamuddin West area and Dilshad Garden area where a woman of UAE history infected family members and later a Mohalla Clinic doctor and staff found symptomatic, two hotspots erupted in Delhi.

Maharashtra state's tally has risen to 748 after reporting 113 new cases on April 5 a official said. Out of new 113 new Covid19 cases in Maharashtra on April 5, 81 are from Mumbai, 18 from Pune, 4 from Aurangabad, 3 from Ahmednagar, two from Kalyan-Dombivli and Thane, one each from Osmanabad and Vasai. Another case is from neighbouring Gujarat state, as the infected person is undergoing treatment in Maharashtra, he added.

Total number of cases in India have surpassed 4281 mark, based on recent report with more than 75 casualties. The data was updated at 6 pm on April 5 on the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's website.
