Delhi Govt crediting Rs 5000 in Workers Account, Second installment soon, Labour Minister

New Delhi: Delhi Labour Minister Gopal Rai on Monday announced that Delhi Government is crediting Rs 5000 in all Registered Construction workers' bank accounts. In his statement Labour Minister said that the second installment of Rs 5000 is likely to be credited shortly in view of lockdown caused due to Covid19. As thousands of Registered construction workers in National Capital are left Unemployed due to lockdown, Delhi Govt facilitated ₹ 5k per month to all construction workers registered under Ministry of Labour, Govt of Delhi.

Delhi Govt had taken a decision to deposit Rs 5000 into the bank accounts of the registered construction workers last month. This month also as the lockdown has been extended govt has decided to again deposit Rs 5000 to provide them help, said Delhi Labour Minister Gopal Rai. In addition Minister said that Online registration from May 15 will also begin for renewal and registration of new workers. Website link will be made available on May 15 and registration shall continue till May 25. After May 25 verification process will take place.

Delhi Government implimenting it's strategy to curb financial burden over Government and over daily wage workers is facilitating several schemes with new initiatives to help poors and all those facing difficulties in bread earning. In third phase of lockdown, Delhi Govt is providing all affordable facilities to poors, to workers, old age people & Corona Warriors. In the same row Delhi Govt decides to credit Rs 5000 to those workers' accounts who are connected & registered with Delhi Government in construction projects.

Registration/ Renewal: Renewal of Registration for new workers to begin from 15 May onwards and to last on May 25, said Delhi Labour Minister, Gopal Rai.
