Defence Minister Rajnath Singh asked the top armed officials to make sure that India does not become the victim of its adversaries who might take the undue advantage of current situation prevalent in the country in the wake of ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Rajnath Singh reviewed the operational preparedness of armed forces and asked the top military brass to be 'fully vigilant' to deal with any possible external security challenge facing the nation.
Defemce Minister Shri Rajnath Singh also asked the commanders to utilise the financial resources in an effective manner considered the lack of the resources with the economy due to ongoing crisis and resulting shut down of operations. Singh also asked the top armed officials for their suggestions regarding projects that can be undertaken to bring the economy back to a normal state. The meeting was organized to direct the officials about threats to the economy and to ensure their preparedness for the same. It aimed at guiding the commanders about the rival forces who are looking for the opportunity to infuse Corona patients into the country and harm the economy and it's people.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat, Army Chief Gen M M Naravane, Chief of Navy Staff Admiral Karambir Singh, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal R K S Bhadauria, Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar and Secretary Defence (Finance) Gargi Kaul.

The top Defence officials also notified Singh about the situation along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir and in areas close to the border of China. Earlier, reports stated that Pakistan was trying to push coronavirus infected persons in the country and has also started a cyberwar against India through social media by spreading rumours and bad comments about the government and its policies.
