These movies received unheard-of levels of hype. However, it appears that existing booking is what would get them through in the case of upcoming releases.
It also has to do with the fact that Tuesday, which is a highly unusual day for arrival, is when the movies are being released. Despite the fact that Thursdays have also seen the arrival of movies during long weekends, this type of mid-week release is unusual.
