Super 30 - Hrithik Roshan opens up against director Vikas Bahl's #MeToo allegations and revealed that I totally support this movement

Hrithik Roshan can now feel a sigh of relief as his film "Super 30" finally gets its long-awaited release this Friday. The film that was making headlines since day 1, hit a major roadblock when its director Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual harassment in the wake of the #MeToo movement in India. Hrithik Roshan's Super 30, has been constantly surrounded by controversies since the beginning. Co-starring Mrunal Thakur, the film was initially supposed to release on January 25, but the makers had to postpone the release date due to filmmaker Vikas Bahl's sexual harassment allegations. The film that went under post-production without the presence of the director will now eventually release on July 12, after all charges against Vikas were cleared. The film's trailer and songs starring Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur is being loved by the audiences.

Hrithik opened up about Vikas' sexual harassment allegations and revealed that he was the first to take a tough stand for the film. Hrithik was quoted as saying, "Yes, the journey of Super 30 has been tough, but I would like to believe that it is worth it. When the #MeToo movement broke out and Vikas's name cropped up, I was perhaps the first one to take a rather tough stand. I completely support this movement and I sincerely believe that exploitative attitude towards women must stop. The actor further went on to say, "Also, it's important that we don't make this process independent of law, and purely based on social media/conventional media hearsay. Like everything else, this movement also has to follow the law of the land. Charges have to be pressed and substantiated in the proper manner. I may feel strongly about something, but we cannot take the law in our hands and dole out mob justice. Since a designated ICC committee has exonerated Vikas, we are not in a position to take away his credit, informed Hrithik.

Fans of Hrithik Roshan are eagerly waiting for Super 30 because the film marks the star's return to the big screen after two long years. Hrithik was last seen on the big screen in 2017's Kaabil.

Super 30 is based on the life of Mathematician Anand Kumar and his program called Super 30, who helps underprivileged kids crack the IIT entrance test, in the film. Apart from Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur, the movie also stars Amit Sadh, Nandish Singh, Aditya Srivastava and Pankaj Tripathi.

Phantom films and Nadiadwala Grandsons, Super 30 is directed by Vikas Bahl and is set to release on July 12, 2019.

Yesterday, the makers of Super 30 dropped the fourth song of the film titled Question Mark and in the song, we get glimpses of Hrithik Roshan teaching his students. Look at here
