Ludo begins with Pankaj Tripathi who is playing the role of Sattu who is a local don. He celebrates a clean kill and sings to Bhagwan Dada's song that is O Beja Ji, from the biggest hit of his career which is known as Albela. The actor whose dance step is majorly inspired by Amitabh Bachchan at the start of his career. The man who lived in so much facility spend his last days in an unorganized chawl.

Anurag Basu has used this song several times in this film to represent how fate is never fixed and how it can take you from a luxurious life to living in a chawl. This song became an important part of this film and it is a strange metaphor to pick when the story is about good and evil deeds. The movie show blends of characters in this film. Despite the metaphor, it is breezy with its cast telling them to be in the course. It takes time to reveal the connection between the leading characters in the film.

The film reveals the four characters of the film where Pankaj Tripathi plays the character of the dice or catalyst who is never fixed in one place. Sattu is the don of Ranchi who murders the local builder. Later on, he kidnaps eye only eyewitness role played by Rohit Saraf. Going back to his way, he also threatens his ex-wife role played by Asha Negi and his former right-hand Abhishek Bachchan who is playing the role of Bittu who recently got bail from jail.

The film is a mixture of romance, drama, tragedy, and thriller which keeps the film in the category of black comedy. Anurag Basu has managed to keep the emotions alive in the film by using primal use colors. The film portrays a message that life is a ludo and ludo is a life. Overall the movie is a must-watch, the acting, dialogue delivery, and cinematography along with music are commendable.
