Neta D'Souza, working president of Mahila Congress, has written a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind. In this, he has said that Kangana has insulted the freedom fighters. He has also made fun of the freedom movement. In such a situation, appropriate action should be taken against him and Padma Shri should be taken back from him.

What did Kangana say? 

Kangana said in a private interview, "That was not freedom, it was begging and the freedom I got was in 2014." Kangana also said that after this statement, ten more FIRs will be registered against her.

After this statement of Kangana, BJP MP Varun Gandhi wrote, "Sometimes an insult to the sacrifice and penance of Mahatma Gandhi, sometimes the respect of his killer, and now the disdain for the sacrifices of millions of freedom fighters from Shaheed Mangal Pandey to Rani Laxmibai, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and more. Should I call this thinking madness or treason?"

At the same time, AAP's National Executive member Preeti Sharma Menon has filed a complaint against actress Kangana Ranaut with the Mumbai Police and demanded registration of an FIR in the matter. Menon said, "Action is expected. a strict action must be taken against Kangana under sections 124A, 504, and 505 of the Indian Penal Code."
