Kabir Singh box office collection Day 18: Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh has emerged as one of the most successful films of the year. The film continues to rule at the box office in its third week. The film, which earned Rs 235.72 crore in the first two weeks of its release, aims to cross the Rs 250-crore mark in the third week.
After earning Rs 9.61 crore on Sunday, Kabir Singh's box office collection was Rs 4.25 crore on the third Monday. The total box office collection of Kabir Singh till now is Rs 237.97 crore.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film has already broken several records. The film has overtaken Salman Khan's Kick and the life-time collection of Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express. Salman's Kick box office collection was Rs 231.85 crore and Chennai Express's box office collection was Rs 227.13 crore. And is now eyeing to overcome Ranveer Singh's Simmba and top spot Vicky Kaushal's Uri:The Surgical Strike. Uri ended its total box office collections with Rs 245.36 crore while Ranveer's Simmba box office collection was Rs 240.31 crores.
Kabir Singh is the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. While Shahid Kapoor played the leading role in Kabir Singh, Vijay Deverakonda played the lead role in the Telugu version. Kabir Singh tells the story of a surgeon who goes on a self-destructive path after his girlfriend is married to another man.
