Kaali Khuhi Movie Review: Characters put their best to boost the plot
The Netflix India original film gives the courtly and majestic overview, urgent theme largely generic and literal treatment, which markedly turns the well-intentioned exercise into a rather bland fare. Shabana Azmi nailed her performance in Kaali Khuhi as she already played the role in the horror movie Makdee. The scenic view that creates the horror instinct in the movie is quite unbelievable. Kaali Khuhi review as a suspense thriller that leads you to stuck on the seats and watches the whole movie at that movie.
Shabana Azmi plays the role of Satya maasi and portrays great performance. Sanjeeda Shaikh plays the character of Priya who is the mother of Shivangi (Riva Arora). As Terrie Samundra revealed, “Kaali Khuhi explores the dark history of a family haunted by its gruesome past and entangled in a web of unnatural occurrences. Riva Arora executes her part very well and fully contributes to what the script is demanding.
Sanjeeda Sheikh already embraces her acting in the movie Taish, and now she is polishing her grace in the Horror genre. She killed with her performance as a mother of a possessed girl and the emotions she portrays on-screen are highly appreciated. As she is the glamourous looking diva, she also put her foot into the non-glamour role as a mother of Riva Arora.
Kaali Khuhi Movie Review: Dark and Gothic genre emerged in the movie
Though Kaali Khuhi is a suspense and horror thriller, and the the dark atmosphere with smoky element all brings the horror scenic view in the movie. Kaali Khuhi review as the concept of women that are in much to blame as men for the perpetuation of female infanticide. The film has only one major male character, Darshan (Satyadeep Mishra), and he seems to possess no power at all over his span of life. All that he can do is insist that he will never again leave his mother's home even as his wife and daughter are dead inspite the idea of staying on in the cursed village.
Overall we can say that Kaali Khuhi is a one time watch to explore the darker side of the movie, and small element of horror and gothic genre binds the viewers with the characters portrayal.
