According to Box Office India website, Akshay Kumar's 'Good Newws' is also beating Salman Khan's film Dabangg 3 in terms of earnings. The special thing is that in the year 2019 itself, this film has become the fourth most hit film of Akshay Kumar. Akshay Kumar's film not only opened in the country but also abroad. Good News had an opening in India on the first day with Rs 17.56 crore. The last release of 2019, Good Newwz gave tough competition to Salman Khan's Dabangg 3, which underperformed when compared to other Salman Khan films. Good Newwz opened with Rs 17.56 crore, the film went on to make Rs 21.78 crore and Rs 26.65 crore on its frist Saturday and Sunday. By the end of first weekend, the film had earned Rs 65.99 crore.
