Dhaakad, Kangana Ranaut's big-budget action movie, is off to a slow start at the box office. While the inaugural day was supposed to bring in roughly ₹4 crores, the receipts have been dismal given the project's exorbitant costs. According to our estimations, the film grossed between ₹1.05-₹1.45 crores on its first day.
The box office numbers were appalling across the board, whether it was single screens or multiplexes, and footfalls did not even increase for evening and night shows. The reviewer evaluations are unfavorable, and the opening day audience is insufficient to judge word of mouth.
There's not much left for this Kangana Ranaut and Arjun Rampal movie after this opening, but it's a must-see for the industry. As per the above-mentioned numbers, Dhaakad's second day is also expected to be a below-par fair. Dhaakad box office day 2 collection numbers are here.

Despite the film's huge action sequences, it appeared to be a somber film with no commercial trappings. More than stars, it is the genre that has no appeal among audiences, as has been demonstrated time and time again. Action as a genre only works when it's supplemented with the correct aspects of entertainment, therefore producers should think twice before investing in such films.
