Even after its triumphant theatrical premiere, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt continues to make news. The first book in Ayan Mukerji's Astraverse trilogy, which introduced us to the realm of Brahmastra through the eyes of Shiva, has received a lot of attention (Ranbir).
The movie was followed by a teaser for its sequel, Brahmastra Part Two: Dev. Ayan has revealed the date of the release of his sequel, while fans have come up with a number of ideas and theories about who would play Dev on screen. Find out by reading on.
Ayan Mukerji disclosed that he plans to release Brahmastra Part Two in December 2025 while speaking with The Indian Express. Talking about Brahmastra 2 release date he said, "We know where to aim. This movie is something we want to develop and release in three years. Given how long part one took, the timeline is challenging for us. But these days, we've also learned how to create these kinds of movies."
Ayan added that the sequel's script has been "on" since Part One itself. Given that they had the time to work on it throughout the epidemic, he said that it had already undergone numerous changes and retouches. He did, however, clarify that there is no set date for when production will begin on the sequel.
He further added, "Going on floors is less significant than the release date of the movie. On floors means shooting, but for a movie like this, pre-production, VFX work, and post-production are just as crucial as the actual shooting." He continued by saying that the film would begin production after the core crew has recovered from Part 1 and is ready.
