Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa is directed by Buddhadeb Dasgupta and produced by Ajay Sharma and Archishmaan Sharma that is released on November 20, 2020, on Eros Now. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Niharika Singh in the leading role along with a little appearance of Pankaj Tripathi. The film casts Ananya Chatterjee, Amrita Chattopadhyay, Sohini Paul, Makrand Brahme, and Farrukh Jafar for other prominent roles in the film.

Buddhadeb Dasgupta's Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa, a Hindi narrative film captures the broken pattern of life in a very beautiful and overwhelming way. The movie represents the brooding of life with a wistful and lively shot in the film. It perfectly flourishes the performance by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. 

This is the first time I watched his film and I feel that this is the perfect film to bring out all the nostalgic vibes. The narration of the films is up to the point. In this generation, there are only a few movies that capture the real feelings of a common man by narrating his real-life troubles and suffering, the emotions he feels, and what he thinks. This film shows the story of Mohammad Anwar, the role played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the most, lyrical, ironical, and beautiful manner.

The film shows 11 years old son who is working in a city to fulfill the family's income goes missing. A well of employer leaves his wife, the role played by Ananya Chatterjee. Anwar tries to dig deep into the lives of individual people whose vanishing he tends to investigate. Throughout his tasks, there is one particular assignment that reminds him of Ayesha, the role played by Niharika Singh. Ayesha is the love of his life that he was never ever able to forget. 

There are a few times in the movie when his characters come into the movie and randomly vanish without any conclusion which creates suspense in the minds of viewers. There was a time when Pankaj Tripathi entered the movie after 50 minutes and again he diapered after 5 minutes. Overall the film is good and if you want to have an old-rustic nostalgic vibe you should surely watch this film. 

Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa was earlier released in London with the English title Sniffer at  BFI London Film Festival 2013. It was also released at Kerala International Film Festival. After 7 years of its completion, Nawazuddin's film is finally released on November 20, 2020, on Eros Now.
