Staff Selection Commission is holding the MTS Exam 2021 in computer-based mode. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from October 05 to November 02, 2021. In the same row, on Wednesday, October 20, the commission organizes the Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) posts online examination. The exam for the first shift is now over and analysis of the same is shared below. The overall difficulty level of the morning shift is reported as moderate.
Based on the media reports, the commission is conducting the MTS exam at designated centres in different cities across the country. The online examination is being held following the social distancing and COVID-19 protocols.
Here below we share the detailed analysis & review of the SSC MTS 19 October shift 1, 2, and 3 exams being held at centres across the country. The official answer key, however, will be released by the SSC once the examination is over at ssc.nic.in. The candidates will be provided with a chance to raise objections, if any, against the provisional key.
SSC MTS 20 October Shift 1 Paper Analysis:
According to students, the MTS shift 1 exam consists of 100 multiple choice type questions divided into 4 sections namely General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and General Awareness. In these subjects, the difficulty level of Numerical Aptitude and Reasoning was difficult in comparison to the English language and GK.

English Language (Moderate): Questions were based on topics including Synonyms/ Antonyms, Wrongly-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One Word Substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Sentence Rearrangement, Cloze Passage, Fill in the Blanks, etc.
Numerical Aptitude (Moderate to Difficult): Questions were from topics including Number Systems, Decimals and Fractions, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time, Speed and Distance, Time and Work, etc.
General Intelligence & Reasoning (Easy): Topics including Analogies, Classification, Coding-Decoding, Puzzle, Matrix, Word Formation, Direction and Distance, Blood Relations, Number Series, and Non-Verbal Reasoning were spotted.
General Awareness (Moderate): Questions were asked from topics including History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity, Military Exercises, Indian Constitution, Sports, International Events, Awards, etc.It should be noted that the commission has proposed a negative marking in the MTS examination. According to the scheme, each correct response will award 1 mark to the candidate. Whereas, a negative marking of 0.25 Marks for wrong answers will be applicable for incorrect responses.
