Punjab Police has released the answer key of the Sub Inspector (SI) online examination on its official site, punjabpolice.gov.in. Along with the provisional key, a manual to raise objections has also been displayed on the recruitment portal of the Sub Inspector. The candidates who appeared for the Sub Inspector (District Police, Armed Police, Investigation, and Intelligence Cadres) examination now can check the official answer key and raise objections if any, before August 29, 2021 (Sunday).
Earlier, Punjab Police conducted the Computer Based Test for the recruitment of Sub Inspector against 560 posts in different cadres. The written exam was held from August 17 to 21, 2021 consisting of multiple booklet codes Set A, B, C, & D. The examination was held successfully at the designated centers across the state.
According to an official statement at the porta, the objection against the preliminary answer key has been made live on August 27, 2021, at 09:00 PM, and will remain live till August 29, 2021, at 11:55 PM.
Based on the feedback from the students, the Punjab Police Sub Inspector computer-based test was consisting of two Paper I, and Paper 2. The paper 1 exam consisted of a total of 400 marks. Questions in multiple-choice type format were asked from subjects including General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical Skills, and Punjabi Language. In addition to that Paper-II- This paper again totals 400 marks and questions based on Logical & Analytical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Digital Literacy & Awareness, and English.
It should be noted that there is a provision of negative marking for incorrect answers. According to this, a total of 25% of the marks assigned to a question that is 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Step 1: In order to raise objections, candidates have to visit the Punjab Police website punjabpolice.gov.in.
Step 2: Then click on Recruitment from the left-sidebar on the homepage
Step 3: Go to SI recruitment portal to download the Admit Card and related information
Step 4: Then click on "Login" from the top right corner.
Step 5: Enter your User Id, Password and press click on Login.
Step 6: Click on Sub Inspector and wherein, 'Candidate Response'. Check the Answer key and raise objections if any.

The selection process is defined as a two-stage process consisting of Stage 1 and Stage 2. The stage 1 exam is held in Computer Based Test mode consisting of two multiple choice question papers. For the shortlisted candidates, the stage 2 test will be held in the form of Document Scrutiny/ Verification, Physical Measurement, and Physical Screening Test. Both Physical Measurement and Physical Screening Test shall be qualifying in nature.
