The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday, September 15 conducts the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2021 for the PG courses. CUCET 2021, a computer-based test for the 1st shift is reportedly held successfully at all the exam centers. The candidates who attempt 15th September held CUCET 1st shift exam can check the paper analysis along with difficulty level, asked questions, and unofficial answer key, once the examination is over.
According to the media reports, the CUCET began today at 9:00 AM with the PGQP courses. The examination has been held following the social distancing and COVID-19 protocols. As per the instructions, candidates were asked to carry their admit card along with self-declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website, into the examination venue.
CUCET 2021 is scheduled to be held on September 15, 16, 23, and 24, 2021 for Undergraduate/ Integrated (UI) and Post Graduate (PG) programs. The common entrance test will be held on four days this time as a computer-based test. The exam has been held for 2 hours duration and consisting 100 objective type MCQs
The answer key of CUCET 2021, however, will be released by the National Testing Agency on the official website cucet.nta.nic.in. The agency will display the provisional answer key of the questions on the NTA website cucet.nta.nic.in, with a public notice issued to this effect on the said website, to provide an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the provisional answer keys with an online payment of Rs 200 per non-refundable question challenged as processing charges, reads an official notification.
The date of display of recorded responses and answer key is yet to be decided by the agency. However, based on the past year's trends, it is expected that the answer key will be released within 5 days of the examination.
CUCET 15 September Shift 1 Analysis: The computer-based test for PGQP course codes- 02, 05, 11, 28, 29, 38, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49 is held successfully from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. The test consisted of two parts- Part A and Part B. A total of 25 questions from English, General Knowledge, and Numerical Ability were asked in Part A. Whereas, Part-B consisted of 75 questions from respective subjects. However, the pattern was different for some of the course codes. The entire test was in the English language.
According to the proposed marking scheme, each question carries four marks for correct response. As there is negative marking, 1 mark would be deducted for every wrong answer for each incorrect response.
Shift-2 Analysis: From 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm (IST): Computer Based Test for PGQP course codes 03, 14, 17, 20, 24, 27, 32, 33, 35 is scheduled. The analysis of the shift 2 test will be available only after the examination is over.
Those who clear the UI, PG entrance exams, will get admissions in various UG Integrated, PG courses offered by participating central universities.
