Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is about to display the official answer key of Project Manager Prelims exam 2020 on its official website bpsc.bih.gov.in. Once it is released, the candidates who have appeared on August 03, 2021, held Project Manager (Advt 02/2020) Pre Exam will be able to check and download the answer key and response sheet at bpsc.bih.gov.in. Candidates will stand a chance to raise challenges/objections against the preliminary answer key within the stipulated time period.
According to the media reports, the state commission on August 03, 2021 (Tuesday) successfully conducted the OMR-based prelims examination for the recruitment of Project Manager on 69 vacancies. The examination is held following the social distancing and other COVID-19 guidelines at designated centres.
As far as the paper analysis is concerned, the prelims examination consisted of 150 questions divided into Indian Economy & Industries, Current Affairs, and Mental Ability Test. The candidates were given a total of two hours and 15 minutes to attempt all questions. Maximum 70 questions were asked from the Indian Economy section followed by 40 questions each from Current Affairs and Mental Ability Test. The overall level of the question paper was "easy to moderate".
Indian Economy and Industry: Moderate to Difficult level
Questions were asked from topics including- India’s Experience with Urbanization and Migration, Industry, Foreign Trade, Budgeting and Fiscal Policy, Agriculture and Rural Development Strategies, History of Development and Planning, Money and Banking, Inflation, Poverty, Unemployment and Human Development, and Federal Finance.
General Awareness: Easy Level
Questions were asked from topics including- Science – Inventions & Discoveries, Science & Technology, General Polity, Abbreviations, General Science, Indian History, International & National Organizations, Sports, Current Affairs, National & International events, Indian Economy, Books, and Authors, Indian National Movement, Budget and Five Year Plans, Countries & Capitals, and Awards and Honors.
Mental Ability Test: Moderate Level
Decoding and Classification, Embedded Figures, Relationship Concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning and Figural Classification, Symbolic Operations, Trends, Space Visualization, Decision Making, Analogies, Similarities, and Differences, Word Building, Address Matching, Date & City Matching, Classification of Centre codes etc.
It should be noted that the preliminary exam is only qualifying in nature and marks obtained in prelims will not be considered for final merit. However, on the basis of the score obtained and designed cut-off marks, candidates will be shortlisted for the Project Manager Main exam.
Earlier, the recruitment notification for the Project Manager was released on February 17, 2020. The application process kick-started thereafter. Again the application window re-opened on May 05 and remained open till May 15, 2020. More than 60,000 candidates have applied for the recruitment drive.
