The Delhi University holding a key meeting over admissions 2020-21 for UG & PG courses has taken concrete decisions including opening of Admission forms from 20 June & schedule for First Cut off in mid-August. As per decision taken by Delhi University administration the online application for UG / PG Admissions shall start from June 20 amid suspect over fresh admission dates. The committee has also decided to re-open the admission window after Board declares Class 12th result including CBSE & other state Boards.
As per report administration is also trying to release the first cutoff list in early second week of August as 11th August is called a tentative date. Member of the Standing Committee and Assistant Professor of Commerce Department of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Prof Arun Kumar Atri, said that the student should be prepared for fresh DU admissions 2020-21 as registration is scheduled to start from 20 June, 2020.
Schedule of Delhi University admissions 2020-21 was discussed in the standing committee meeting held on Wednesday at University. The possible date of online application for UG has been set between June 20 and July 4, 2020. As per laid plan the first cut off 2020-21 admissions shall be between August 11 to 15, an official said. Re-opening of Admission Window
After the CBSE exam result, Delhi University will once again open the portal to update the students' marks or amend the application. DU will announce the detailed guidelines in this regard shortly. For further details students should keep visiting the official Delhi University website i.e du.ac.in.
Cancelation of Admission fine Rs 1000/- The Standing Committee of DU has given its consent on other key points. Now, a student who is admitted under a cutoff cannot cancel his admission in another college by canceling his admission within the stipulated time. However, a senior DU official said that the dates of DU admission depend on the examination results of National Testing Agency and CBSE.
No Sport / ECA Trial: DU has decided to not conduct the trials for admissions through DU Sports and ECA categories. The decision is taken for admission session 2020-21 due to the Covid-19 situation. In DU, 5 percent seats goes reserved for Sports and ECA categories. This time only admission will be done on the basis of certificate, DU Official confirmed after meeting held on Wednesday.
Email/ Contact Details- The college can ask for additional information through phone or e-mail, the member said. Another fact that was agreed to by the committee was that any discrepancy in the spelling of name or missing of surname in the certificates of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD shall be verified from their other certificates rather than rejecting their admission, an official from Committee said.
