New Delhi: The last date for filing applications for admission in the nursery or entry-level classes in private schools of Delhi has been extended for further two weeks, till January 21. The decision is taken in view of the ongoing COVID-19 situation in the national capital. With this, parents who could not or have not registered for nursery admissions 2022 for their child, can do so till January 21 at edudel.nic.in.
On Thursday, Delhi Education Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced that after reviewing the Omicron situation in the national capital, Delhi Government has decided to extend further the closing date of Nursery Admissions 2022 registration for two weeks.

Based on the notification issued by the Directorate of Education (DoE) in November 2022, nursery admission registration was supposed to close on January 07. The online application window began on December 15, 2021, for admissions to nearly 1,800 private schools across the national capital.
Once the applications are closed, following the Delhi Government's guidelines all participating schools will release the lottery results. Based on the release schedule, the first lottery result or merit list of selected children will be published on February 04, 2022. While the second list will be released on February 21 and a subsequent list for admission, if any, on March 15. The admission process will conclude on March 03, 2022.
It should be noted that the admissions in the Nursery or entry-level class in the Delhi private schools take place on the basis of lottery results. Once the registration window closes, the participating schools release the lottery results and sent them to the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi.
