Union Ministers Condemn the attack on Arnab Goswami, Congress calls Video Conference meeting

Union Minister Prakash Javdekar said ‘we condemn the attempt to attack Arnab Goswami. We condemn every attack on any journalist.This is against democracy and it is really ironical that those who preach tolerance have become so intolerant. Therefore we condemn this attempt, said Union Minister Prakash Javdekar statement, The statement came after Congress goons attempted to attack on Arnab Goswami and his wife last night, as Republic Network reported.

In the same row BJP President JP Nadda also tweeted that- Shocking to see Arnab Goswami attacked after Congress CMs publicly threatened him. Sad to see such public hounding of a journalist for his freedom of speech. Congress shows it is the party that brought Emergency and continues it’s rich tradition of trampling free speech.

As per reports and claim made by Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, on Wednesday night he and his wife were on the way back their home when two motorcycle bike borne persons allegedly attacked their car.Attackers parked their bike in front of the car to attack the car.Alleged threw black ink and escaped. All this happened after he criticized congress president Sonia Gandhi. In response to the attempt to attack BJP leader and Union Cabinet Minister said 'We appeal to the collective wisdom that this is undemocratic and as per present law Police definitely takes action if there is a complaint.'

In connection to attempt attack on Journalist two people have been arrested in connection with the attack on Arnab Goswami and his wife & F.I.R is registered in NM Joshi Marg Police Station under section 341(punishment for wrongful restraint ) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of IPC, said by DCP zone 3 Mumbai.

Goswami has blamed congress leaders for the attack and challenging  Sonia Gandhi and calling her coward.Here Union Minister Prakash Javdekar has critised the attack on Arnab Goswami and his wife.Even attack on any media person will create terror as media stands as fourth pillar of democracy. Union Ministers have also criticized the attackers and indirectly the congress party for this plot, that seems ironical as those who preached tolerance are being intolerant.

Kunal karma has also condemned the attack on Arnab Goswami and criticized ‘congress goons’even he is supposed to be best critic of Goswami.He said proper ways should be practiced to show the dissatisfaction rather than attacking someone.

Following the incidence, Congress Working Committee also called the meeting via Video Conferencing of its leaders.
