For those who are unaware, the film's advance booking period began six days ago. The strategy worked because the response was positive from the start. As we get closer to the release date, the number of people interested has risen dramatically. According to a report from last evening, the action thriller is on its way to crossing the ten-figure mark and may have already done so by the time you read this. 

According to trade estimates, Vikram has received an advance booking of almost ₹9 crores (till yesterday evening). With only one day till the release, the response is expected to skyrocket today. The original Tamil version accounts for nearly all of the revenue, while the Telugu version's ticket sales are in the millions. There aren't any other versions to report yet. It will be intriguing to watch where this film, starring Kamal Haasan, goes from here.

Jayantilal Gada (the Hindi distributor) has probably acquired 1500 screens for Vikram, while Major has probably got 800 screens. Vikram may open better in the North, but Major has done a terrific job in its preview performances all over the country, generating a lot of buzz in Jaipur and other cities.

Vikram would fare well in Tamil Nadu, according to famous movie trade expert Ramesh Bala. Overall, Viram is expected to gross between ₹40 and ₹45 crores in India.
