DU SOL Admissions 2021-22: Registration Begins, Check Course List, Fee, Eligibility & More

School of Open Learning, Delhi University has started the admission process on October 22. The online registration process has started for undergraduate courses in arts, commerce, and humanities, etc. The last date to register online at sol.du.ac.in is December 15.

School of Open Learning (SOL), University of Delhi has started the admission process for 1st-year undergraduate courses for session 2021-22. SOL offers admissions into UG & PG courses through open learning (distance) mode and on Friday, October 22, 2021, starts the online registration process. Eligible candidates can register for SOL UG Admissions 2021 till December 25, 2021, without a late fee.

This year due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the admission process has been delayed. As Delhi University has started its application process for UG Admission registration and the last date for registration is August 31, 2021, it is being assumed that the School of Open Learning (SOL) shall start admission services for UG admissions (New) in mid-September or early October.

SOL (DU) offers admission to Undergraduate courses including B.A (Prog), B.A (Hons), B.Com & B.Com (Hons). To be eligible, the candidates should have a Senior Secondary School Certificate/ Class 12th certificate from a recognized board. However, for courses including B.Com (Hons) and B.A (Hons) English courses, minimum criteria of 55% and 65% aggregate marks in qualifying standard are required.

The process of application will be online. All aspirants should register and submit the application form in online mode at sol.du.ac.in.

SOL is in the process to start a new academic session 2021-22 for students seeking admissions in UG/ PG Part I (First Year). It is hinted that the department would commence an online facility for the UG admission application forms soon. Based on the past trends, SOL commences the admission process when regular colleges release 1 or 2 cutoffs.

DU SOL Admission 2021 Registration

DU SOL admission schedule has been released soon on the official site sol.du.ac.in. Aspiring students are asked to keep visiting the website for admission-related information. It should be noted that last year due to COVID-19 the admission process was also delayed and started on October 19, 2020. The last date for registration was scheduled as November 30, which was later extended up to December 31, 2020.

DU SOL Admission 2021 Update:

October 22: Admission registration has started at sol.du.ac.in. The eligible candidates can register up to December 15, 2021.

October 21: A committee is about to be formed to prescribe the detailed draft on UG Admissions 2021-22. A notice regarding SOL admissions 2021 is expected to be out in due course of time.

October 18: The department is expected to release the SOL UG admission notice soon. The application form is expected to commence by October-end. The prospectus will be displayed by the School of Open Learning at sol.du.ac.in.

September 24: The admission process has been delayed. An admission schedule is expected to be released by month-end. The aspirants are asked to keep a check at the website for the latest updates.

August 16, 2021: DU UG Admission 2021 registration process is underway at admission.uod.ac.in. More details 

School of Open Learning (SOL) is yet to start the admission process for 1st year new admissions 2021-22. The department shall likely commence admissions in the second half of September 2021. However official notice is still awaited from SOL. The aspiring candidates are asked to keep a check at the website sol.du.ac.in for admission-related updates.

SOL Admission 2021: Required Eligibility

B.A. (Hons.) English: 65% marks and above in the aggregate in Class 12th with at least 75% marks in English Core or 65% marks in English Elective.

B.Com.(Hons.): 55% marks and above in aggregate in Class 12th, in any one of the qualifying examinations. 60% marks and above in vocational.

B.A. (Hons.) Political Science: 50% marks and above in aggregate, in any one of the qualifying examinations.\

B.A. Programme/B.Com Semester: 40% or above in aggregate, in any one of the qualifying examinations (in the case of CBSE and NIOS best five passed subject.

Last year, SOL opened the online application window for admissions 2020-21 on 19 October, the last date for registration was set as November 31, which was later extended to December 31. The process of application was delayed in view of the then COVID-19 situatin and late declaration of the CBSE & other state Class 12th results. It is also considered that the SOL admissions start after Delhi University release two of its Cutoffs, for regular colleges.
