Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey donates $ 1billion to Covid19 relief efforts, Square Inc stake pledged

Jack Dorsey CEO and Co-founder of Twitter has announced to donate $ 1 billion of his square stake to Covid19 relief efforts. On Tuesday Dorsey pledged his stake of $ 1billion in Square Inc to help fund relief efforts. The CEO of Twitter extended his stake for the fight against Coronavirus pandemic and also added that his 28% of total wealth will be donated in charity funds.

In a series of tweets, Twitter Inc CEO conveyed about his donation to fight Coronavirus pandemic. The CEO has a net worth $ 3.3 billion by Forbes, also said he was pledging his stake in Square instead of Twitter because he owns a bigger portion of the payment processor Square.

On Tuesday Twitter Chief Executive Officer Jack Dorsey pledged his one billion USD stakes in Square Inc for Covid19 relief efforts. Dorsey also said the amount representing about 28% of his wealth will be donated to the charity funds, Start Small LLC which would later focus it’s attention to Universal Basic Income and Girls' Health and Education.

Amid Coronavirus spread in USA the CEO came forward and extended his support in fight against Covid19 pandemic. In USA on Tuesday around 2000 deaths occurred due to Coronavirus and total number increased to more than 12300.

Earlier for years Twitter CEO has kept details of his charitable efforts private, also said all donations to and from the fund would now public and visible to all through a public document.
