Pentagon declassifies three UFOs' video taken by US Navy pilots

The Defense Department of US on Monday (27 April, 2020) declassified three well-known UFO videos, acknowledging that the footage was shot by US Navy pilots. The videos, one taken in 2004 and two in 2015, were released after federal officials determined the footage ‘does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems’ and ‘does not impinge on any subsequent investigations’, the department said in a statement Monday.

The U.S. Navy previously acknowledged that these videos circulating in the public domain were indeed Navy videos. After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems, and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena, the statement released by the Pentagon stated.

In the footage, which the Navy confirmed as genuine in September of last year, the UFOs are picked up by infrared cameras and can be seen moving at pace across the sky or rotating mid-air. The videos were released to ‘to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos’, the Pentagon said.

The videos were initially published in 2017 and 2018 by the To The Stars Academy, a UFO research group founded by former Blink-182 singer Tom DeLonge, and in the New York Times. The videos are called “FLIR.mp4,' 'GOFAST.wmv,' and 'GIMBAL.wmv.'
According to the New York Times, the 2004 video shows an incident that happened 100 miles out over the Pacific. Two navy fighter pilots found an oblong object hovering above the water. It then flew quickly away. 'It accelerated like nothing I’ve ever seen,' one of pilots, Cmdr David Fravor. The 2015 videos show objects moving quickly through the sky, one of them seeming to spin in the air. 'Look at that thing, dude!' a pilot says. 'It’s rotating!'.
