On October 20, the Hollywood superhero movie Black Adam, which stars Dwayne Johnson, a.k.a. The Rock, will be released in India. The movie's advances debuted on Saturday at the major cinema chains, and sales at the box office have been strong.

The appearance of Dwayne Johnson in a DC Superhero movie for the first time is the reason for the positive reception, despite the film's unimpressive trailer. Black Adam box office day 1 (India) screen count, advance booking, & opening day collection report has been given here.

Black Adam Box Office Day 1 (India): Advance Booking

The three national chains PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis have sold about 35,000 tickets (a gross of Rs 85 lakhs) for Black Adam as of Tuesday midday, which is a positive response to the movie. The IMAX and 4D versions have received the best feedback thus far and beginning on Tuesday night, the 2D versions are anticipated to pick up steam.

Black Adam is expected to have a strong opening at the box office in India on Thursday based on these impressive numbers for a non-holiday release on Thursday, especially during the pre-Diwali season. The national chains will book between 70,000 and 80,000 rooms with only one day and a half left.

The movie is expected to be released on more than 3000 screens in India. If the single screens debut with a reasonable reaction in spot bookings, Black Adam should aim for a double-digit on day one.

The lack of competition has caused the multiplexes to go all out with the showcasing, and the short timeframe has only aided them in getting shows that are on par with a big-budget Hindi movie.

Black Adam might have a weak start due to Diwali fever, but the numbers might increase. These days, the box office is quite active. The numbers could increase to Rs 8–9 crores if the movie takes off, but they could potentially be lower. If word-of-mouth is positive, the first weekend's sales might reach Rs 20 crores.
