Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot accuses BJP govt of horse-trading, alleged that BJP offering 25 crores to MLAs: Rajya Sabha Elections

Rajasthan's Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot accused PM Narendra Modi led NDA government for horse-trading in Gujarat and Rajasthan ahead of Rajya Sabha elections. He also alleged BJP for intentionally delaying these elections so that BJP can deal in buying and selling in Gujarat and Rajasthan where the Rajya Sabha election will be held.

"It could have been conducted two months back but they had not completed the buying and selling in Gujarat and Rajasthan, so they delayed it. The election is going to be conducted now and the situation is the same," said  Ashok Gehlot while addressing media.

Earlier, CM Gehlot made shocking allegations that Congress MLAs have been offered 25 crores each and pressuring them to switch ahead of Rajya Sabha Elections. Ahead of fear of poaching and horse-trading, Indian National Congress - Rajasthan has moved its MLAs to a resort in Jaipur.

CM Gehlot emerged as one of the most prominent faces of the Indian National Congress and a strong reply to Modi-Shah of BJP. Recently, he gained praises across the world for his Bhilwara model to control pandemic CoronaVirus in the state.

Further, he went on to launch a campaign in Rajasthan to spread awareness about the #COVID19Pandemic. The ten-day special campaign which ran from June 21 to June 30 in villages-dhanis, wards and mohallas, people were made aware through various means to protect themselves against the disease.

Yesterday, in view of the current situation in Rajasthan, where the number of Covid19 confirmed cases surpassed 11,000, the Rajasthan government decided to seal its borders for a week due to a rise in COVID19 cases. Only essential services and holders of e-passes will be allowed at state borders including the border with Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. The decision is taken after a sharp increase in Covid19 cases in the state in the last one week.
