Girlfriend Movie Review: Girlfriend is an upcoming Marathi movie released on 26 Jul, 2019. The film features Amey Wagh, Sai Tamhankar, Rasika Sunil and Isha Keskar in leading characters. It is a drama directed by Upendra Sidhaye. Upendra Sidhaye direction takes the credit and not once will you feel that this is a debut directorial. Story:

Girlfriend is a story revolving around one such misfit Nachiket Pradhan (Amey Wagh). Nachiket a Graphic Designer by profession, living in Pune with his Mother (Kavita Lad), Father (Yatin Karyekar) and younger Brother Rohan (Tejas Barve). Has just two best friends Aditya (Uday Nene) and Sandy (Suyog Gorhe) and an office friend Shweta (Rasika Sunil). While people of his age have settled down; Nachiket has been carrying his single status since forever which is why he is continuously cornered and taunted by his friends, colleagues, and family for the same.

The film begins with Nachiket's birthday and he is seen hooked to Facebook. Nobody finds it important to wish Nachiket at midnight which leaves him disheartened, his birthday is no different too. To add to Nachiket's misery, he loses a promotion opportunity due to his single status. The answer to all his problems is only one thing and that is 'Girlfriend.' Nachiket gets drunk and in the heat of the moment ends up taking a desperate decision and immediately becomes a star on Facebook. His family, friends, and colleagues start treating him well. Realising the change, Nachiket aka Nachya goes one step ahead and creates a fake girlfriend. When things seem to fall in place this imaginary girlfriend Alisha Nerurkar (Sai Tamhankar) appears in real life and things take a drastic turn for Nachya.

So, we can say that it's a must watch Marathi movie in the debut directional of Upendra Sidhaye as the film has a cute romantic story, just go and watch out.
