Veteran writer Surender Mohan Pathak files case against Mirzapur Season 2 makers, know why

After a long wait of 2 years, Mirzapur season 2 was finally released on October 23 this year in 2020 on Amazon Prime Video. Mirzapur 2 is directed by Karan Anshuman and Gurmmeet Singh and produced by Excel Entertainment's Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Kassim Jagmagia. 

Veteran actor Surender Mohan Pathak files a case against Mirzapur Season 2 makers. In episode 3 of Mirzapur Season 2, Kulbhushan Kharbanda playing the role of Satyanand Tripathi was seen reading the novel 'Dhaba' which is written by Surender Mohan Pathak in which an erotic voiceover scene is described. However, the writer said that voice-over by the makers has no relation with the book and he has sent a legal notice to Excel Entertainment asking them to remove the particular scene.

The veteran writer Surender is currently waiting for the response to the legal notice he sent, if the makers of Mirzapur 2 fails to give any response, he would file a case in Delhi High Court against them. The writer did not know about this scene until and unless his fans started writing to him and his daughter. He will fill the case against makers for violating the Copyright Act.

He further added that the makers have used baseless lines and represented it as a content of his book which was published almost 10 years ago. The voiceover in the particular scene represents a character Baldev Raj while the writer said that the book has no such character in his novel. The writer says that he has written almost 270 thriller and mystery based novels but has never described an erotic scene in so much detail.
