TRB PG Assistant Notification 2021 Released; Apply Online for 2207 Vacancies Before 17 October

Teachers Recruitment Board, (TRB) Tamil Nadu invites online applications for the recruitment of 2207 posts of PG Assistant in Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Educational Service. A recruitment notification 2021 has been released on the official website of the board i.e trb.tn.nic.in. Eligible and interested aspirants can apply for Post Graduate Assistants/ Physical Education Directors Grade – I and Computer Instructor Grade I posts from September 16, 2021, to October 17, 2021. The selected candidates will be able to draw a salary up to 1,16,600 under level – 18.

Earlier, in February 2021, the recruitment board released the recruitment notification against 2098 PG Assistant and Computer Instructor vacancies. However, the same advertisement was later

TRB PG Assistant Eligibility

For Post Graduate Assistant in Language and Academic subjects, the candidate should have passed Post Graduate degree with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,) from a recognized University.

To be eligible for Physical Director Grade-1, the candidate should have passed Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Health and Physical Education and Degree in Sports with at least 55% marks as per National Council for Teacher Education.

For Computer Instructor Grade I, Post Graduate with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized University. The B.Ed degree should be in accordance with National Council for Teacher Education norms. And Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science / M.Tech Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering /Information Technology / Software Engineering from any recognized University.

How to Apply for PG Assistant: 

Candidates should apply only through online mode. Evidence for claims made by the candidate while applying online should be submitted by the candidate at the time of Certificate Verification.

Step 1: Go to the website trb.tn.nic.in

Step 2: Click on Online Application after press-click on "Direct Recruitment for the post of Post Graduate Assistants / Physical Education Directors Grade-I and Computer Instructor Grade I - 2020 - 2021"

Step 3: A new tab will open on the computer screen.

Step 4: Thereafter, click- Online Application

Step 5: On a new login page, enter your User Id and Password

Step 6: Fill in all required academic details and proceed

Step 7: Make the payment of application fees and click on Print Application after final submission.  

It should be noted that the online application process would commence on September 16, 2021. The last date for submission of application through online mode would be October 17, 2021. The computer-based examination will be held on November 13, 14, and 15, 2021. 

Selection Process:

The selection will be based on two successive stages- Computer-based examination; and Certificate Verification. The Hall Ticket for the eligible candidates will be uploaded by the Teachers Recruitment Board on its website, reads the direct recruitment notification.

The written examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration with 150 MCQs. Each question carries one mark. The marks allotted to the Main Subject, Educational Methodology and General Knowledge.
