Railway Recruitment 2020-21: Notification on 5285 posts is Fake, says Indian Railways

Indian Railways conducts recruitment examination for Technical and Non-Technical posts every year. Through RRB Group C recruitment exam, Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) open vacancies for Diploma holders every year, an official says in reply to the career options in Indian Railways. For jobseekers, Indian Railways through RRBs & RRCs conducts recruitment examinations every year and opportunities in Railway Units/ Production lines open annually in different zones, he added.

Indian Railways under Ministry of Railways, Govt of India offers blended recruitment opportunities in Group C for different qualification holders. For Technical, Non-Technical Polytechnic Diploma holders Indian Railways offers Assistant Loco-Pilot, Technician, Junior Engineer, Section Engineer etc positions. For information on vacancies, eligibility, application schedule & other details, Railways issues Centralized Employment Notification (CEN/ No/Year) at Railway Recruitment Boards’ websites.

Railway Recruitment 2020-21 Apply Online:

Indian Railways invites applications for the recruitment of posts under Direct Recruitment Examination in online mode (except Limited Departmental Competitive Examination-LDCE). At online recruitment portal facilitated by RRBs/ RRCs application link, application correction link etc provided to applicants every year. Students visiting the official website indianrailways.gov.in recruitment 2020 and rrbchennai.gov.in / rrbcdg.gov.in and other boards website, can check updates on availability of Recruitment openings in 2020-21. 

For Diploma holders Indian Railways conducts three recruitment drive including ALP/ Technician Gr 3, Junior Engineer and System Engineer. For selection of candidates RRBs / RRCs conduct multi-stage recruitment examinations.

Examination Fee: Candidates applying for the posts in this CEN have to pay the prescribed fee as per their category detailed below-

  • For all candidates except the fee concession categories- Rs 500/- (Out of this fee of Rs 500 an amount of Rs 400 shall be refunded in due course duly deducting bank charges as applicable on appearing in CBT).
  • For PwBD / Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class- Rs 250/- (This fee of Rs 250 shall be refunded in due course duly deducting bank charges as applicable on appearing in CBT).

Educational Qualification- Diploma (Technical) / 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

Opportunities: ALP / Technician Gr 3/ JE (Civil/ Mech/ Electrical/ System)

Selection Process: Three stages Recruitment examination inclusive of Computer Based Test, Skill Test and Medical/ Document Verification)

Pay Scale: Selected candidates under RRB ALP / Technician gets pay under 7th pAy Commission. The pay scale counts Rs. 5200 – 20200/-. Furthermore, selected also get Grade Pay of RS 1900 (For details visit rrbcdg.gov.in).

Educational Qualification: Graduate Degree (B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Tech/ B.E/ B.Com)

Opportunities: Non-Technical Popular Categories (Graduate & Under Graduate) posts including- Train Clerk, Accounts Clerk, Jr Time Keeper, Traffic Assistant, Station Master, Goods Guard, Commercial Apprentice & others.

Selection Process: Selection criteria set by Indian Railways consists multi-stages Computer Based Test (CBT), Skill Test including Typing Test, Medical/ Document Verification etc.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates get initial pay of RS 25500 in Level 7th CPC.

Indian Railways GDCE Recruitment 2020 Notice:

Through the written letter Railway Board Joint Director writes to all General Managers of Zonal Railways and Production Unit on General Departmental Competitive Examination. He asks to fill 25% DR quota vacancies by GDCE. To make more effective, all zonals are also requested to provide suggestions in this regard.

Railway denies Recruitment on 5285 new posts:

On Monday Indian Railways clarifies over recruitment on 5285 posts on Contract basis. Railways called the recruitment fake and urges students to not believe in such fake recruitments. In Railways official tweet the clarification is made about an advertisement by a private agency in a newspaper regarding alleged recruitment in eight categories of posts on Indian Railways.
