National Testing Agency (NTA) will re-conduct NEET 2020 exam on October 14, only for those students who could not appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG due to Covid-19 infection or falling in containment zones. The announcement in regards to the NEET result date/ re-conduct of NEET exam on Oct 14 was intimated on Monday by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta.
According to First Post, the Supreme Court on Monday allows the students who were unable to sit for the exam held on 13 September because they were either tested positive for coronavirus or because they lived in containment zones will be allowed to appear for 14 October NEET exam. NEET results will also be declared on 16 October, Solicitor General told the Supreme Court.

In its order, Supreme Court says that National Testing Agency to re-conduct NEET 2020 (UG) exam on October 14, 2020 (Wednesday) for students who could not appear for September scheduled NEET UG examination citing Covid-19 infection and containment zone. Along with the re-conduct of NEET exam, Supreme Court also brings-up the NEET result date as October 16, 2020. The NEET 2020 result will be declared on October 16, 2020, ANI quoting Suprem Court's verdict, says.
As many as 15.97 lakh candidates had enrolled for the NEET UG 2020 exam and about 85-90 per cent students appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam 2020.
Furnishing the NEET result date, "On 16/10/2020 NEET result will be available on official website ntaneet.nic.in", Nodal Agency told Supreme Court.
