Karnataka PDO Recruitment 2021: Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is expected to soon start the recruitment process for Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) reportedly on 1624 posts. Once the recruitment proceedings are finalized, the authority would publish the PDO recruitment notification and start the online application process on its website kea.kar.nic.in. The selected candidates will be able to draw a salary up to Rs 36,000 per month.

Recently in a press release, Karnataka Rural Development, and Panchayat Raj Minister KS Eshwarappa said that in Karanataka state there is a shortage of Panchayat Development Officers (PDOs) and action will be taken to recruit them as soon as possible. While visiting the town's KSN Annadasoha Center, the minister told reporters, "It is a good thing that MLA K. Sivanagouda has started Anna Dasa Center. It is commendable that the legislators are doing what the government should do".

The minister further said, "The Prime Minister has set a target to give free vaccination and rations to 8 crore people. This signifies that the BJP favors the poor and the backward. Asha activists, Anganwadi staff, and PDOs are working hard to control the Covid in the state especially in rural areas".

According to the local media reports, the recruitment notification on a total of 1624 posts, 815 posts of Panchayat Development Officer (PDO), and 809 posts of Gram Panchayat Secretary will be finalized by the Karnataka State Rural and Panchayat Department.

Karnataka PDO Notification 2021 Online Application:

Once the online application link activates, interested candidates will have to register online at the given portal and submit their application on or before the last date. Filling in the personal, academic, and experience details (if applicable), candidates from SC/ ST/ CAT-I will have to pay Rs 250 as the application fee. The application fee for the General/ OBC category will be Rs 500. While there will be no application fee for the PH category candidates.

To be eligible for the post of Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) and Gram Panchayat Secretary, candidates should have passed a Bachelor/ Master degree from a recognized University. The age of candidates should be between 18 and 35 years, as on the last date of application submission. The age relaxation will be applicable for the reserved category candidates.

The authority will select suitable candidates for the PDO vacancies. The applicants will have to go through the written examination and/or interviews. Based on the reports, the examination will consist of objective-type questions. There will be 2 papers in the written examination. The duration of each paper will be 2 hours.

Finally selected candidates for the post of Panchayat Development Officer will be recruited on a pay scale of Rs 20,000 to Rs 36,300 per month. While selected candidates as Grama Panchayat Secretary Grade-I to get a pay slab of Rs 14,550 to Rs 26,700 per month.
