Ranveer Singh starrer Yash Raj Films’ Jayeshbhai Jordaar to be released on October 2 this year, while Farhan’s Excel Entertainment’s Toofan is all set to be out on September 18. Although, Excel Entertainment’s Toofan earlier was to be out on October 2.
A recent post on Farhan’s social media handle says, ‘In the interest of both films and to ensure an ideal theatrical release, Aditya Chopra and Ritesh Sidhwani have decided to release their films on different dates. YRF will release Jayeshbhai Jordaar on 2nd October and Excel Entertainment will release Toofaan on September18, 2020.’
Coming on the information about the cast and the crew makers of both the films, The Ranveer Singh starrer film will be directed by Divyang Thakkar and will also star Shalini Pandey, Aparshakti Khurrana, Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah in pivotal roles. On the other hand, will be Farhan Akhtar's collaboration with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Mrunal Thakur will be playing the lead role opposite Farhan Akhtar.

Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Toofan is a sports drama about a national-level boxer played by Akhtar while Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a comedy film by the debutant director, Divyang Khatter. It’s rare for a production house to give away a holiday and opt for a normal Friday. Generally, the opposite happens.
