AFCAT-I:  Online Registration in response to the Indian Air Force Notification Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)-01/2021 commenced on the 1st Date of December 2020 (01.12.2020) with the Last Date for Online Application closing on the 30th December 2020 (30.12.2020)

The Male and Female Candidates meeting with Eligibility Criteria are Eligible for the IAF Commissioned Officers (COs) in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branches may apply through IAF Website and Webinks  Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) https://careerindianairforce.cdac.in/ Or https://afcat.cdac.in/

Eligibility Criteria: Flying Branch. The Candidates must have attained Minimum 20 Years up to Maximum 24 Years - As On 1st Date of January 2022  AND Ground Duty (Technical / Non-Technical) Branches: Minimum 20 Years up to Maximum 26 Years As On 1st Date of January 2022.

Educational Qualifications:  Flying Branch: a) The Candidates should have mandatorily passed with Minimum  50% Marks each in Mathematics and Physics at Senior Secondary (10+2) Level and a) Graduation with Minimum 03 (Three) Years Degree Course in any Discipline from any Recognized University with Minimum 60% Marks or Equivalent. OR Bachelor of Engineering (B.Engg.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) Degree (Four-Years Course) from any Recognised University with Minimum 60% Marks Or Equivalent. Or c) The Candidates, who have cleared Section A & B Examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) (AMIEA) Or Aeronautical Society of India (ASI) from any Recognised University with Minimum 60% Marks Or Equivalent.

Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: aa) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}. Candidates with Minimum 50% Marks each in Physics and Mathematics at Senior Secondary (10+2) Level and Minimum Four Years’ Degree Graduation / Integrated Post-Graduation Qualification in Engineering / Technology from duly Recognized University Or Cleared Sections A and B Examination of the Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) (AMIEI) Or the Aeronautical Society of India (ASI) or Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) by Actual Studies with Minimum 60% Marks or Equivalent in the following Disciplines: 

Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}. Candidates with Minimum 50% Marks each in Physics and Mathematics at Senior Secondary (10+2) Level and Minimum Four-Years Degree Graduation / Integrated Post-Graduation Qualification in Engineering / Technology from any duly Recognised University Or Cleared Sections A & B Examination of the Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) (AMIEI) or the Aeronautical Society of India (ASI) by Actual Studies with Minimum 60% Marks or Equivalent in the following Disciplines: 

iii) Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches:  

Administration: Passed 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum 03 / Three Years Degree Course) in any Discipline from any Recognised University with Minimum  60% Marks or Equivalent or Cleared Section A & B Examination of the Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) (AMIEI) Or the Aeronautical Society of India (ASI) from any Recognised University with Minimum 60% Marks or Equivalent.  

Education: Passed Senior Secondary (10+2) and Post-Graduation with 50% in any discipline including Integrated Courses offering Post Graduate (Single Degree without permission to Exit and Lateral Entry) and with Minimum 60% Marks in Graduation in any Discipline.  

iv) Meteorology: Passed Senior Secondary (10+2) and Post Graduate Degree in any Science Stream / Mathematics / Statistics / Geography / Computer Applications / Environmental Science / Applied Physics / Oceanography / Meteorology / Agricultural Meteorology / Ecology & Environment / Geo-Physics / Environmental Biology with Minimum 50% Marks in Aggregate of all Papers put together (Provided Mathematics and Physics were studied at Graduation Level with Minimum of 55% Marks in each). 

Conduct of Online Testing for AFCAT Examination and Fee Structure: Online Testing for AFCAT Entry would be conducted at various Centers. The Candidates Registering Online for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) Entry need to pay Rs. 250/- (Non-Refundable) as Examination Fee. However, the Candidates Registering for National Cadet Corps (NCC) Special Entry need not pay. Details of conduct of the AFCAT Examination with 165 Minutes (consisting of 02 Papers comprising 150 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions for 300 Marks, Examination Centers and Mode of Payment are available in the Notification.
