Haryana govt to recruit 8000 JBT Teachers, first recruitment after 8 Years

Haryana Government is mulling over possible options to start recruitment on 8,000 JBT Teacher posts, as no recruitment has taken place in last 8 years. Haryana Basic Education Department may fill 8000 new posts for Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) in state. A draft is being prepared on possible vacancies of JBT Teachers by Haryana govt, and likely on eight thousand positions recruitment may to be started, a press report says.

As thousands of students are waiting for the JBT Teacher recruitment in Haryana state for last couple of years, recruitment on possible 8000 posts is expected to start shortly. Haryana govt is seems to roll out a detailed draft in regarding JBT Teachers recruitment in coming weeks.

First recruitment after 8 years:

In Haryana state there has been no recruitment for JBT Teachers in last eight years. Recruitment on anticipated 8,000 posts would be first after 8 years, report says. JBT aspirants have staged protests demanding new vacancies for JBT Teachers, as their HTET validity is about to expire.

Based on a press release, Basic Education Department, Haryana likely to commence initial recruitment on 8000 posts. Based on report, 3048 posts can be left vacant in Basic Education Department where on total 9000 posts only 60048 Guest Teachers are employed. In addition to that 2000 posts are left vacant after promotion to TGTs of JBT Teachers. A total 1000 JBT posts are left vacant due to retirement, death & other reasons. In addition to that Govt also can create additional 2000 posts vacant by promoting JBT teachers, report reads.

HTET validity expiring this month:

As there was no fresh recruitment of JBT Teachers in Haryana state in last eight years, validity of HTET certificates is also expiring this month. Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) validity of about 90,000 certificate holders is expiring in July 2020, out of which thousands of aspirants will turn un-eligible for the recruitment, report adds.

Earlier Haryana government decided to extend the validity of HTET certificates of 2013 passed students, for two years (till July 2020). Following the dissatisfaction students have also called a Jan Jagaran protest, demanding extension in validity of HTET certificates and release of JBT Teacher jobs.
