Haryana Har-hith Store Scheme; Check Eligibility, Benefits, Online Registration, Loan & Earning Options

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday launched 71 Har hith stores across the state of Haryana. The candidates who have passed class 12th and having 200 sq. ft. on the ground floor can apply for the Har-hith store scheme. Harhith is a flagship project of Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited, which is being implemented under the direct supervision of the Government of Haryana. HAICL facilitates in-store fit-out, products procurement, logistics, and IT support and skills Training for opening the retail stores.

HAICL has planned to launch around 2,000 retail stores for food, personal care, and home care products across the Haryana state. Of the total, fifteen hundred stores will be opened in rural areas and 500 stores in urban locations.

According to an official notice, HAICL will allot 1 franchise of 200 sq feet over a population of 3000 per village, 1 at least per ward in the municipal corporation, and 1 at least in a group of wards having a cumulative population of 10,000 in municipal committee or council. However, HAICL has decided to increase the number of outlets based upon population density and demand analysis in the future.

Agreement Duration:  HAICL will select their franchisee partner for 5 yrs. The extension of the agreement will be ensured prior to the ending of the first term of the 5-year agreement.

Haryana Har Hith Store Eligibility:

Age limit: 21-35 Years. For Ex-serviceman the upper age limit could be 50 years.

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have completed Class 12th. 

Non-criminal Background: The applicant should neither be convicted nor pending a criminal case.

No Financial Default: The candidate should have zero liability in Govt. run projects.

Capital for the Retail Outlet Operations: Self-financed or MUDRA loan.

Domicile Requirement: For the rural franchisees, the candidate should belong to the same village with a population above 3000. For the small urban franchisees, the applicant should belong to the same ward in the municipal corporation area/ same group of wards in the municipal committee/ municipal council area with a combined population above 10000. Whereas, the Same ward in municipal corporation area /Same group of wards in municipal committee/ municipal council area with a combined population above 10000

Retail Space Requirements: For a Rural franchisee, the applicant should have 200 and above sq. ft. on the ground floor and be centrally located.

Note- A person with an existing operational Kirana store will not be eligible for Har-hith Franchisee. However, if the existing store is non-operational and the applicant applies for the franchisee, he needs to renovate the existing store as per HAICL standards.

Haryana Har Hith Store Application Form; Step to Register

Step 1: Go to the website harhith.com

Step 2: Click on "Register" from the top section of the homepage

Step 3: Enter your Family Id, Name as in Aadhar Card, Mobile No., Email Address, and District.

Step 4:  Click on Generate OTP. Login details will generate

Step 5: Click on Login and enter your mobile number and OTP.

Har-Hith Store Selection Process:

Franchisee operations rights will be allotted to the applicants within one month from the last date of application form submission. After the submission of the registration form by the applicant, the HAICL will review the applicant's KYC details. Thereafter it will make an assessment of the proposed site. Then, if applied for Mudra Loan, will be reviewed. Upon successful completion of all these inquiries, the allotment of Har-Hith store will be made by the corporation.

Selected Applicants will be informed via website, call, or in-person regarding the allocation of franchisee operation rights. The selection parameter for the selection of Har Hith franchisee are mentioned below:

1. Location of the site proposed by the applicant
2. Documents of applicant

In case of multiple applications from a village, block or city, preference will be given on the following order-

1. If the applicant is female
2. If the applicant has a physical disability
3. If the applicant is business experienced youth/ higher education/ financial stability.

Store Operationalization: The store operationalization will be dependent on whether the Franchisee has his own shop or is getting a new shop done.

In the case of his own shop: The interior and store fit-out will take 14 days from the date the impaneled vendor starts his work at the shop of the franchisee. In case the franchisee does not have his own shop but has open space and opts for a pre-fabricated shop from the impaneled vendor of HAICL, the same may take 30 days from the day the franchisee places the order.

Earning: In the policy, it has been stated that the corporation (HAICL) will ensure a 10% margin on product mix to the franchisee partner. To make an earning of Rs 15,000 per month the franchisee partner needs to do a sale of Rs 1,50,000 in a calendar month. HAICL will also run promotional schemes and discounts to both the franchisee and customers to increase the sales and margins of the franchise partner.
