As Gumraah is an official remake of the Tamil blockbuster film 'Thadam' starring Arun Vijay and Vidya Pradeep in the lead roles with Tanya Hope and Smruti Venkat in the supporting roles. It was theatrically released on 1st March 2019 and opened with highly positive reviews.

The Tamil version of the story was commercially successful and became one of the highest-grossing films of the year in Tamil Nadu. the movie has also been remade in Telugu as 'Red' with Ram Pothineni in the lead role. 

If talking about Gumraah, the film is bankrolled by Bollywood’s one of the popular filmmakers Bhushan Kumar under the banner of his own T-series Production company in collaboration with Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios. The movie has been directed by Vardhan Ketkar who also worked as the assistant director in Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg.

Aditya Roy Kapur has recently been seen in the Disney+ Hotstar series with a successful and a hit series ‘The Night Manager, the actor co-star with Anil Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala.

For Gumraah, the buzz is not much like a high-budget commercial film in the Bollywood industry. The film has been made on a budget on an overall budget of Rs 50 crores approx, where the production budget is Rs 40 crores and the print & advertising costs Rs 10 crores.

To be able to survive and cover up the budget of the film Gumraah should gross Rs 75 crores to be called a hit. Things are looking in favour for Gumraah, as the numbers are completely flat and it's estimated to have only Rs0.30 crores in advance bookings for Day 1.

Gumraah Box Office Prediction Day 1: Screen Count

Gumraah is said to be made on a budget of Rs 50 crores which falls under the mid-range budget category and the movie will share a screen count of 2300 screens approx where 2000 screens under the Indian screen count and the remaining 300 are in the overseas screen count.

Gumraah Box Office Prediction Day 1: Competitors

Gumraah is based on a true event and this crime thriller features Aditya in two completely different avatars with a double role for the very first time. The movie also features Ronit Roy who is a phenomenal actor and here the film will showcase an intense face-off between the two lead actors.

With the release of Gumraah, 'Bholaa' and 'Dasara' running at the theatres and seeing the collection and popularity of these two films, Gumraah may outperform at the theatres. It is estimated to earn Rs 3-7 crores on Day 1.
