On August 5, 2022, Darlings will debut on Netflix. Red Chillies Entertainment revealed that the movie would skip the theatres and have its digital premiere as an original on the streaming service after Netflix bought the movie's rights in February 2022. The movie's release date was set on August 5, 2022, in July 2022.
The Darlings' distribution rights were previously intended for a theatrical release, but in February 2022, they were sold to and bought by Netflix India for ₹75-80 crores ($9.6-10.3 million).
