Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) releases recruitment notification for filling up of 2,213 posts of Sub Inspector (SI) and Sergeant. BPSSC (Bihar Police) on Friday published Advt 3/2020 notification at website for the recruitment of Sub Inspector and Sergeant in Home Police Department, Govt of Bihar. Commission invites online applications from eligible Graduate candidates from August 16, to September 24, 2020.
An advertisement inviting online application against 2,213 posts for the post of Sub Inspector (SI) and Sergeant, is available at bpssc.bih.nic.in. Interested candidates can apply online for Bihar Police SI / Sergeant posts on or before last date i.e September 24, 2020. The selected candidates will be paid remuneration under pay scale- Rs 35400-112400.

Vacancy Details:
Eligibility Required (As on 1 August 2020):
An aspirant should have passed a Graduates degree in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institute.
Age Limit: The minimum age limit of a candidate can be 20 years and maximum age for male candidates (unreserved category) can be 37 years (as on 1st August 2020).

Application Fee: Candidates belonging to Un-reserved categories (UR/ OBC) have to pay Rs 700 as application charges. Whereas for candidates belonging to SC and ST category, charges are Rs 400/-.
Selection Process: As per advertisement, applicants submitting applications online, will be called for written examination (Preliminary & Mains). Qualified candidates will be further called for Physical Test (PET, PST) and finally scrutinizing the documents/ medical fitness candidates will be selected against available vacancies, following category wise reservation norms. Candidates scoring higher than 30% marks in preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the SI/ Sergeant mains exam.
Exam Pattern: Preliminary Exam- Questions will be asked from general studies and general Hindi sections carrying 100 marks each. Total marks- 200 marks. Whereas, Mains examination will consist of single paper- General Hindi Paper with 100 questions carrying 200 marks will have to be answered in 2 hours. (30% passing mark).
