The film still has four days to make money, and it appears that another ₹3 crores are on the way. Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui made a similar amount (₹14.53 crores) in its first weekend, which was not ideal given that a film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor was supposed to gross ₹20 crores. Nonetheless, the fact that it was released so soon after the epidemic and had an LGBT subject meant that it had fewer viewers.

The same may be said for Badhaai Do, and in fact, the trajectory is very similar. The Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar picture has a lower budget and has arrived at a time when theatres aren't operating as smoothly as they were in the case of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, when things had improved following Sooryavanshi.
Taking all of this into account, even though the collections aren't the kind that would make anyone jump for glee, they are still on par when all of the aforementioned aspects are taken into account.
