Summary -
Roman J. Israel, Esq - Set in the underbelly of the notorious criminal court system in Los Angeles, an idealistic defense attorney's (played by Denzel Washington) life is toppled when his mentor Roman, a civil rights icon passes away. When he joins a law firm, which is led by George Pierce (played by Colin Farrell), one of his mentor's former students, the two form a friendship and a series of strange events ensue that will test the activism that defined Roman's career.
