The film was the honored with the award for 'Best Cinematography' at the Bioscope Global Film Festival, Punjab. In IFFT 2017 (12th International Film Festival of Thrissur) The film has been selected for K W Joseph All India debut film competition/merku thodarchi malai has been won the KW JOSEPH AWARD in IFFT 2017 for best film in the competition. The film has been nominated for 'Best Screenplay' Category in 17th New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF2017). The film has also been selected at the Singapore South Asian International Film Festival and Chicago South Asian Film Festival
