Kavita Kaushik is an Indian actress, model, and television presenter, born on February 15, 1981, in Delhi, India. Kaushik rose to prominence for her role in the television series F.I.R. She was also seen in movies like Ek Hasina Thi (2004), Mumbai Cutting (2009), Phillum City (2011) and in television series like Kutumb, Ye Meri Life Hai, and C.I.D. Her 2017 release includes the Punjabi movie Vekh Baraatan Challiyan. Directed by Ksshitij Chaudhary, the movie co-stars Binnu Dhillon and Jaswinder Bhalla in important roles. she is best known for her work in Hindi television Series, Bollywood films, Telugu and Punjabi cinema. She is famously known for SAB TV serial FIR as Chandramukhi Chautala. she did her schooling from All saints college, Nainital and obtained her graduate degree in Philosophy from Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi. Her portrayal of Chandramukhi Chautala made her a household name and also won her several Telly awards. Apart from F.I.R. she also played a lead role in the famous television series Tota Weds Maina.
In addition to television, she has also acted on a silver screen. She made her cinematic debut in 2004 with a brief role in the film Ek Hasina Thi. After which she played minor roles in films like Mumbai Cutting and Phillum City. She also performed in an item number in the remake of blockbuster film Zanjeer in 2013.
