An English actor, Clive Own raised to fame for playing the lead role in the ITV series Chancer (1990-91) and later received wide critical acclaim for his work in the feature film Close My Eyes (1991). An Academy Award nominee and the winner of a Golden Globe and BAFTA Awards, Owen earned widespread international fame with his appearance in Croupier (1998) where he played the role of a struggling writer.
