RRB NTPC Exam Preparation Resumes! Marking of CBT Test Centres underway, says Chairman

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Chennai has resumed NTPC exam preparation commencing the marking of Computer Based Test centres. RRB Chirman Vinod Kumar Yadav on Tuesday said that the Board has resumed preparations for Railway exams including Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) posts under CEN 1/2019. Indian Railways RRB NTPC recruitment process has resumed as examination centers are being marked by Board for CBT 1 preparation. The process resumes after nearly a 3 months delay caused due to Covid19 pandemic.

Indian Railways will conduct Online Computer Based Test (CBT) for nearly 1.5 crore applicants for RRB NTPC CBT 1 examination, which is also a big challenge for board viewing the current situation, said RRB Chairman Yadav.

RRB NTPC Exam Preparation resumes

The Board President on Tuesday said due to the coronavirus, the recruitment process at many levels in the railway will soon. The biggest challenge in this way is to conduct the examination for more than 1.5 crore candidates. Based on latest press release, the process of marking of Computer Based Test (CBT) centers for Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) Test has started. Indian Railways Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav said, 'We are moving forward with the recruitment process as lockdown restrictions are lifting in phased manner.

Bringing the data of NTPC applications under CEN 1/2019 NTPC recruitment on 35,200 posts in the Indian Railways, he said about 1.60 crore candidates have applied for the NTPC Graduate and Non-Graduate posts. Centralized Employment Notification (CEN) 1/2019 was released on 28 February 2019 for filling nearly 35,200 vacancies in different RRB Boards.

Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav said that it was a big task in itself to scrutinize such a large number of applications, but completed. All scrutiny work was computer-based and has been finished.

  • Under Graduate Posts with Minimum Educational Qualification of 12th (+2 Stage)- 10628 posts
  • Graduate Posts with Minimum Educational Qualification of a University Degree or its equivalent- 24649 posts

RRB NTPC Exam Soon-

According to recent press release, RRB Chairman has assured of holding NTPC Exam soon, as selection process resumes after halt caused by Coronavirus. Marking of examination centers is underway for NTPC stage 1 exam, said Chirman on Tuesday.

Note- Examination dates for CBT 1, Non-Technical Popular Category recruitment will be intimated through official RRB Chennai website.

The chairman of the Railway Board said that before the Coronavirus, we were about to complete the selection of Examination Centers, but the epidemic hit the way. He said that still it is a big challenge to conduct Online CBT test for about 1.60 crore applicants simultaneously, but preparations have stepped up and it is expected that examinations will be held soon.

Yadav said that recruitment is about to finish on a total of 46,371 posts of Assistant Loco-Pilot and Technicians. There were 46 lakh applications for ALP & Technicians and now the recruitment process is about to complete as appointment letters are being issued to selected candidates in phased manner, Chairman said.
