IGNOU promotes Intermediate UG, PG Students without Term-End Exams, Details Explained

IGNOU Promotion Criteria: The Registrar, Student Evaluation Department, Indira Gandhi National Open University, issued on the 10th Date of December 2020 the Modalities for Promotion of the Intermediate Year / Semester Students of Under Graduate Course and Post Graduate Program in the June 2020 Term-End Examinations. The July 2019 and January 2020 Registered / Re-registered UG and PG Students have been promoted in respective Under-Graduate and  Post-Graduate Annual / Semester Courses. 

The Academic Council of the University, IGNOU in its 75th Meeting vide Item 23.3 of the Notification held on the 18th Date of November 2020 approved the Modalities in respect of promoting the Intermediate Year / Semester Students of Under Graduate Course and Post Graduate Program in the June 2020 Term-End Examinations, as explained in the subsequent Lines for the Students 

July-2019: Under-Graduate -1st Year B.A. (General), B.Sc. (General), B.Com (General), BSW, BTS, BAVTM, BBA (Retailing)

January-2020: Bachelor of Computer Applications:  1st up to 5th Semester

July 2019: 1st Year Post-Graduate Program: M.Com., MEG, MHD, MPS, MAH, MSO, MAPC, MEC, MPA, MAAN, MGPS, MARD, MSCDFSM, MSCCFT, MSW, MSWC,  MAEDU, MADE, MAAE, MTTM, MAPY, MAVDS, MAWGS, MAGD, MATS, MAJMC  

January 2020:  Post-Graduate Program: MBA, MBA (B&F), MSCMACS (1st and 3rd Semesters) AND MCA (1st, 2d, 3rd, 4th and 5th Semesters) Under Graduate Course Promotion Modalities Explained:

That the 1st Year Students Registered in July 2019 will be exempted from appearing in the Term-End Examinations of the 1st Year of June 2020 and that the Term-End Marks / Grades in the 1st Year of the Academic Course would be assigned on the bases of the Marks / Grades assigned in the Term-End Examination of 2nd Year.

That the 2nd Year Students Re-registered in July 2019 will be exempted from appearing in the Term-End Examinationsof the 2nd Year of June 2020 and that  the Term-End Examination Marks / Grades in the 2nd Year of the Academic Course would be assigned on the bases of the Marks / Grades assigned in the Term-End Examination of 1st Year.

That the CBCS Students 1st Year Students Registered in July 2019 will be exempted from appearing in the Term-End Examinations of the 1st Year (1st and 2nd Semesters) in June 2020 and that the Term-End Examination Marks / Grades in the 1st Year (1st and 2nd Semesters) of the Academic Course would be assigned on the bases of the Marks / Grades assigned in the Term-End Examination of 2nd Year (3rd and 4th Semesters)

That the BCA Students Re-registered in January 2020 will be exempted from appearing in the Term-End Examinations of the 2nd Year of June 2020 and that the Term-End Examination Marks / Grades of respective Intermediate Semesters of the Academic Course would be assigned on the bases of the Marks / Grades assigned in the Term-End Examination of 1st Year.

Post Graduate Program Promotion Modalities Explained:

That the 1st Year Students Registered in July 2019 will be exempted from appearing in the Term-End Examinations of the 1st Year of June 2020 and that the Term-End Marks / Grades in the 1st Year of the Academic Course would be assigned on the bases of the Marks / Grades assigned in the Term-End Examination of 2nd Year.

That the 2nd Year Students Re-registered in July 2019 will be exempted from appearing in the Term-End Examinations of the 2nd Year of June 2020 and that the Term-End Examination Marks / Grades in the 2nd Year of the Academic Course would be assigned on the bases of the Marks / Grades assigned in the Term-End Examination of 1st Year.

That the MCA Students of Intermediate Semesters Registered in January 2019 may be exempted from appearing in the Term-End Examinations of the 1st Year (1st and 2nd Semesters) in June 2020 and that the Term-End Examination Marks / Grades in the TEE  of respective Intermediate Semesters would be assigned on the bases of the Marks / Grades assigned in the Term-End Examination of Previous / Subsequent (as the case may be) Semesters.

That the MBA / MBA (B&F)  Students of Intermediate Semesters Re-registered in January 2020 may be exempted from appearing in the Term-End Examinations of respective Semesters in June 2020 and that the Term-End Examination Marks / Grades in the TEE  of respective Intermediate Semesters would be assigned on the bases of the Marks / Grades assigned in the Term-End Examination of Previous / Subsequent (as the case may be) Semesters.
